Our Story
Mission
At FungiFix, our mission is to restore communities disproportionately impacted by industrial spills and soil contamination. Using mycoremediation—a process where mushrooms naturally absorb and break down harmful pollutants—we clean and heal damaged land. The harvested fungi are then transformed into a sustainable bio-filler for concrete, reducing construction’s carbon footprint and creating new opportunities for green infrastructure. Since our founding in 2023, we’ve launched pilot sites, earned recognition in regional competitions, and are preparing to share our work at the CA Land Recycling Conference in Fall 2025. We believe environmental repair and social justice go hand in hand—and every project we take on is a step toward both.
